Job Title: Billing Clerk (Hybrid)
Location: Warrington, Cheshire
Salary: £26,000 £27,500 (DOE)
Hrs : 08:00 - 17:00hrs (Mon-Fri)
Contract: 3 Month Contract (with potential to become permanent)

An exciting opportunity for a Billing Clerk has arisen for our client, who are a global leading business, providing hi-tech procurement and supply chain solutions for global customers across the manufacturing and industrial sectors.

This position is an initial 3-month contract, working in a Hybrid role (2 days office/3 from home), with the potential of becoming permanent.

Working within the team based in Warrington, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing in accordance with customer contracts.

As the Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for :-
  • Working closely with internal teams to support revenue recognition and cash flow
  • Ensure billing accuracy by closely reviewing data.
  • Identifying and correcting errors.
  • Assist with streamlining billing processes, improving reporting accuracy, and support clear communication with customers.
  • Manage client charging cycles.
  • Complete transaction billing accurately, on time and in full.
  • Complete validation of client charging data for all clients
  • Maintain budgets & tracking of client Purchase orders
  • Ensure all data/spreadsheets are updated accurately in a timely manner.
  • Working collaboratively with client account managers to reduce unbilled transactions.

As the successful Billing Clerk, you will have the following skills :-
  • Must have Intermediate skills in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
  • Knowledge of SAP or ERP systems would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High level of numeracy and literacy
  • Ability to build strong relations to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a larger team.

Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience of Billing systems and/or audit processes.
  • Data analysis and reconciliation skills
  • Exposure to working with contractual billing terms
  • Knowledge of UK and/or international invoicing standards and VAT rules
