Facilities Team Member – Bournemouth (£13.18 per hour)

📍 Bournemouth | 🕒 Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

⏳ 3-week contract | 📅 Starts Monday 20th October 2025 | 💷 £13.18 per hour


We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Facilities Team Member to support student accommodation in Bournemouth on a short-term 3-week contract starting 20th October 2025. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with general maintenance experience and a proactive, team-oriented approach.


 
About the Role
Working as part of the Facilities Team, you’ll help ensure the building is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for student residents. You’ll carry out both reactive and planned maintenance while delivering excellent service and upholding the organisation’s CARE values: Connect, Act, Respect, and Encourage.



Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks: plumbing, joinery, plastering, minor electrical, lock repairs

• Support with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to emergencies

• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety procedures at all times

• Log and resolve maintenance issues using a PDA system

• Ensure all areas are kept clean, safe, and presentable

• Respond to student and staff maintenance requests in a timely manner

 

What We’re Looking For

• Basic maintenance skills (plumbing, joinery, plastering, electrics)

• Previous experience in a similar facilities or maintenance role

• Good understanding of Health & Safety standards

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Available to start on 20th October 2025 and work the full 3-week period

• Reliable, proactive, and customer-focused

🕗 8:00am – 4:00pm

📆 Contract Dates: 20th October – 7th November 2025

📍 Location: Bournemouth

💷 Pay Rate: £13.18 per hour
