Account Executive
  • Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 DOE + monthly commission/bonus – OTE £35,000 - £39,000 (Year 1)

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (Office-based only)

Role Overview:

Following significant investment in infrastructure and recent business growth, a Birmingham-based organisation is seeking an Account Executive with ideally 1+ years of experience in the mail, post, or similar industry. This role offers clear progression opportunities to Account Manager and ultimately Account Director for highly motivated individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and campaign coordination support to the Client Services Team, including quoting, booking jobs via the internal MIS system, handling daily queries, and updating internal platforms like Salesforce and Tharstern.
  • Act as a key point of contact for assigned clients, proactively providing updates on job progress through production and dispatch.
  • Work closely with Account Directors, Account Managers, Data, and Operations teams to ensure timely and accurate mailings.
  • Raise invoices within 48 hours of job dispatch.
  • Proactively enhance the client experience through initiative and continuous service improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise gross profit margins on postage by reducing procurement costs.
  • Create sample packs for prospective clients.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of the mail and post industry to support career progression.
  • Recommend improvements to processes and procedures to boost client satisfaction and company performance.
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in customer or client services – experience in mail or print is beneficial but not essential.
  • Familiarity with UK and international postal services is desirable.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Tharstern MIS is a plus (training available).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
