Job Description
The purpose of the role is to develop an existing sales area, offering excellent customer service with the ability to retain business
The role is based within a busy family run business, offering free on-site parking, up to 25 days holiday and pension scheme,
Main duties will be:
- Quoting customers, chasing quotations and converting these into orders.
- Developing the existing sales area, prospecting new customers and re-visiting stagnant customers. Promoting the company services and encourage business growth.
- Working on UK sales, negotiating with customers to win orders
- Securing strong relationships with key customers and suppliers
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
- Customer service experience
- Computer Literate
- Ability to operate as part of a wider team working effectively across departmental boundaries and with external business partners.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workflow volumes to meet deadlines.
- Strong sales skills with experience of cold calling and contacting customers via telephone.
- Confident communicator
- Experience in the steel industry would be advantageous but not essential
Working Hours, Salary, Benefits:
Monday - Friday 9am - 4:30pm
