We are working with a well-established contractor specialising in refurbishment, maintenance, and external envelope projects across the social housing and commercial sectors. Renowned for delivering high-quality, compliant solutions, they are experiencing sustained growth and now seek an experienced Site Manager to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled construction professional with a strong background in external wall systems, fire safety compliance, and site leadership, to take ownership of high-profile projects in occupied residential environments.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of cladding and façade projects, including the removal and replacement of combustible materials and installation of compliant external wall systems.

You will lead on-site activities, ensuring all works are completed to programme, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. Projects are often live and resident-occupied, requiring excellent organisational and communication skills.

This is a full-time, site-based position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily site operations from pre-start through to handover.
• Oversee the installation and remediation of cladding and façade systems, ensuring full compliance with fire safety regulations and specifications.
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, and logistics to maintain progress and site standards.
• Ensure all site personnel work safely and in line with RAMS, carrying out inductions, toolbox talks, and regular inspections.
• Act as the main point of contact for residents, clients, consultants, and stakeholders on site.
• Keep detailed site records, progress updates, and quality assurance documentation.
• Foster a positive and collaborative site culture, maintaining professionalism and resolving issues proactively.

Essential:
✅ Experience managing EWI, rainscreen, or external wall system projects.
✅ Knowledge of building regulations, fire safety requirements, and compliance.

✅ Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work certifications.
✅ Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage site teams and liaise effectively with stakeholders.
✅ Full UK Driving Licence, with flexibility to travel to sites across Devon and Cornwall.
