Whether you're drawn by the idea of coastal living, excellent schools, outdoor adventures on Dartmoor, or simply a better work-life balance, Devon offers an enviable lifestyle for professionals and families alike.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree-qualified in Building Services, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Chartered or working towards CEng status with a recognised institution (e.g. IET, CIBSE)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical building services design
  • Strong technical knowledge of relevant software: AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, NES, Cymap, MS Office
  • Commercially aware and confident in client-facing environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of electrical design services on a variety of building projects across sectors
  • Manage and mentor junior and intermediate engineers, supporting their technical growth
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and external project teams
  • Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and contract documentation
  • Ensure designs meet quality, compliance, and safety standards
  • Support financial and project planning activities, including fee proposals and budgeting
  • Contribute to business development by helping identify new project opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Stay current with technical standards, industry trends, and legislation

Why Apply?

  • Work on a wide variety of technically challenging and rewarding projects
  • Genuine scope for progression into Associate-level roles
  • Hybrid working policy with strong flexibility
  • Supportive team environment that values development and work-life balance
  • Comprehensive benefits including death in service cover, professional fees paid, cycle-to-work scheme, and more
  • Open to relocators from across the UK, with support provided
  • Enjoy life in Devon – access to beautiful coastlines, national parks, great schools, and a thriving local culture
This is the perfect role for someone looking to take a step up in their career within a forward-thinking, regionally respected consultancy that puts its people first.
