Operations Manager

Globally backed Manufacturer in Worcestershire are currently looking for a Operations Manager to join the business and drive the managerial team. 
 
With the business in a strong place & supplying major bluechip customers in the manufacturing sector, you will be responsible for the continuing improvement of the business whilst managing direct reports within the Production Management Team.   
Reporting into the Operations Director; you will be a strong communicator and will be a key advocate for Engagement with internal stakeholders, the workforce & external stakeholders. You will be a key ambassador for Quality, Health & safety, Your People, Cost & Delivery. You will be a key part of driving a strong cultural on site & driving positive change within the Production team. You will have experience of working with a world class Manufacturer. 

This role has very clear progression involved and has a clear structure to a fruitful career with the business.  
 
Role: Operations Manager 
Salary: up to £80,000 (depending on experience) + bonus + benefits 
Location: Worcestershire 
 
Key Responsibilities for the Operations Manager

Oversee day-to-day operations using the SQCDP review & implement improvements where possible. 
Develop and grow your direct reports and the team around you to build a positive and nurturing environment. 
Manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering engagement and professional growth.
Driving a strong culture of Health & Safety on site. 
Collaborate with sales teams to meet revenue targets and identify market opportunities.
Help implement a culture of process improvement with your management team be a keen driver in a Lean Manufacturing culture 

Key Requirements for the Operations Manager:

• Tangible record of Success in an Senior Management role within a strong Manufacturing Environment 
• Qualification in Engineering (Degree, HNC, HND) ideal 
• Managerial Qualifications are needed for this role 
• Strong Lean ToolBox (Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc) 
• Formal Qualification in NEBOSH/IOSH ideally or experience or driving HSE in a regulated environment 
• Strong communication skills is key; forging strong relationship with the your various direct reports
• Engagement & Empowerment of the shopfloor will be key to this role
