I am looking for a Senior Social Worker to join a dynamic Children & Young People’s Service at an organisation recognised for its commitment to high‑quality social work, strong multi‑agency partnerships, and an unrivalled focus on equality, diversity and inclusion.

Why Join?

You’ll work in a borough known for its vibrant communities, progressive approach, and unwavering commitment to social justice and high‑quality public service.

      What You’ll Do
As a Senior Social Worker, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding children and supporting families through complex and challenging situations. You will:
        • Hold a complex caseload requiring strong assessment, planning and risk‑management skills
        • Deliver high‑quality interventions in line with statutory duties and best practice
        • Conduct comprehensive risk and needs assessments for children in need, at risk, or looked after
        • Lead on child protection, court work, and permanency planning
        • Work collaboratively with health, education, police, housing and other partners
        • Provide emergency response where children are at immediate risk
        • Model excellent practice and contribute to the learning culture within the team
        • Offer mentoring, support or supervision to students and junior staff (where appropriate)
      About You
      You’ll bring:

        • A Social Work degree (or equivalent) and Social Work England registration
        • At least two years’ post‑qualified experience in childcare, including Section 47, court work, and direct work with children
        • Strong analytical, assessment and report‑writing skills
        • Confidence working autonomously while positively engaging with supervision
        • A commitment to anti‑discriminatory practice and inclusive service delivery
        • The ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary environment

You’ll be someone who is adaptable, resilient, committed to continuous learning, and motivated by achieving the best outcomes for children.
