Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join a chemical business based in Basingstoke. Our client is looking for an individual who can drive revenue growth and manage smaller and undercapitalised accounts.

Responsibilities as an Inside Sales Representative:

• Execute inside sales activities aligned to commercial goals: customer segmentation.
• Prioritisation of inbound vs outbound opportunities
• Growth of existing accounts, cross/upsell, and new customer acquisition via inside channels.
• Manage customer interactions via phone, email, and web.
• Respond to inquiries, sample requests, quotes, and contracts in a timely manner; coordinate with external sales and internal teams.
• Support product launches: communicate value propositions, pricing, and collateral to customers; collaborate with product management and R&D.
• Collaborate with sales, product management, and technical teams
• Share market and customer intelligence, support strategic accounts, and contribute to territory/segment plans.
• Maintain CRM, update pipeline data, ensure accuracy of customer information, and use CRM tools to manage opportunities effectively.

Requirements for this position:

• A minimum of 3 years of inside sales experience
• Experience in a chemical industry
• Degree in Business, Sales, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Ability to apply value selling in specialist context
• ERP experience

The Inside Sales Representative Role:

• Fully office based in Basingstoke
• Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm and Friday 8.30am – 4pm
• £37,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
