Job Description
You will help drive forward the development of forecasting and analysis across the group, ensuring best practice processes are implemented to deliver improved insight and accountability.
A key part of this role will be engaging with Business units' FP&A, acting on ad-hoc projects with visibility to senior Finance leadership. You will implement analytical standards for planning & reporting, modelling KPIs and cost drivers to enhance understanding of the business, which is key to this role. Particular emphasis will be focusing on cash flow reporting and owning and managing the short-term cash flow forecasting process for the business.
What you will be doing as an FP&A Senior Analyst
- Delivery of high-quality reporting, analysis, and commentary on performance to assist decision making and forecasting, with a particular focus on cash flow and working capital
- Develop and deliver change in cash flow forecasting and analysis, including systems upgrades and developments to achieve best practice analysis. This will include input into to integration of SAC as the new financial planning tool. Provide inputs into key finance initiatives and support with ad-hoc queries
- Prepare and maintain a detailed short-term cash flow forecast and report on a weekly basis
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
- A professional Accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience
- Experience in financial planning and analysis with a proven track record in 'adding value’
- Solid experience in financial planning, including scenario planning, cost drivers development and analysis. Experience in coordinating rolling forecasts, consolidation, and risks/opportunities processes
- Strong analytical, Excel (including financial modelling) and PowerPoint skills
- Solid communications experience – prepare concise presentations and support drafting of papers that will be sent to Group Executive level.
- Proactive and ambitious - sets high goals for self and continuously strives to improve
- Cash flow forecasting and reporting experience, particularly with regards to STCF
- System experience with SAC, SAP and HFM
