Edge Bander

Location: Stourport-on-Severn
Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:30
Pay: From £12.21 per hour / Depending on experience
Contract: Temp – Perm

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Edge Bander on behalf of our client based in Stourport-on-Severn. This is a Temporary to Permanent role with the opportunity of a contract at the end of a successful trial period.  The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining edge banding machinery to produce high-quality components.

The duties of an Edge Bander:
 

• Set up and operate automatic and manual edge banding machines

• Read and follow technical drawings and cutting lists

• Select and apply appropriate edge materials, adhesives, and finishes for each job

• Inspect finished panels for quality, accuracy, and finish

• Perform routine cleaning, adjustments, and maintenance on the machines

• Ensure production targets and deadlines are met while maintaining high quality standards

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

The requirements of an Edge Bander:
 

• Previous experience operating edge banding machines in a woodworking or joinery environment

• Good understanding of materials (MDF, plywood, laminate, veneer, etc.)

• Ability to work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision

• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work

• Knowledge of workshop health & safety procedures

• Team player with good communication and reliability
