Temporary Summer Position - July, August, September. 

 

We are on the look out for a reliable and individual to join out client through the summer months to assist in the preparation of student accommodation for the Autumn 2025 term. 

 

Our client is a nationwide student accommodation provider with a number of managed buildings throughout the center of Nottingham. In preparation for a new influx of residents at the end of September, each accommodation unit will needs to go through inspection to ensure they meet building regulations, the main purpose of this position is to work through each living area and test all water outlets are safe to operate and fit for consumption. 

 

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00 or 0900:1700

This is a temporary position starting July 2025 until 19th September 2025. 

Day to Day will include:

• Conducting a number of test on water outlets such as showers, toilets, sinks etc,,, in both the private and communal living areas.
  
  
• Tests include checking running water pressure, collecting samples, checking temperatures and chemical tests.
  
  
• Ensuring facilities like taps/flushes/shower heads are in working order and good state.
  
  
• Recording all test results on both paper and handheld electronic device.
  
  
• Details checking and retesting any anomalies
  
  
• Taking note of general accommodation standards and reporting the the facilities manager any areas in need of maintenance or repair. 
  
  

 

About You

• Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial - i.e maintenance, property management, estates etc…
  
  
• Reliable, and comfortable with lone working.
  
  
• Uses own initiative and ability to organize daily workload.
  
  
• Good attention to detail and eye for spotting an discrepancies.
  
  
• Fluent in English both written and verbal.
  
  
• Must be able to commit to full length of the contract.
