Occupational Therapist – Oxfordshire Adult Social Care
Location: Oxfordshire (Hybrid – community & home-based)
Contract Type: Full Time, 37 hours per week
Rate: £22.48 – £38 per hour (Umbrella)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Social Care Team at Oxfordshire County Council.
This is a hybrid role, with the majority of your time spent working from home or out in the community carrying out visits and assessments. Team members are encouraged to attend the office at least once a week to collaborate and stay connected.

About the Role: As part of Oxfordshire’s Adult Social Care Service, you will work collaboratively across social care and partner agencies to support and promote strong, resilient communities. You’ll play a key role in making a real difference to residents’ lives — ensuring people are supported to live independently, safely, and successfully.

Support is delivered through a strengths-based approach, helping to create opportunities, build resilience, and develop long-term support networks for adults across the county.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments and interventions to meet individual needs.
  • Work in partnership with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote independence.
  • Contribute to the delivery of efficient, person-centred care and support planning.
  • Ensure all practice complies with relevant legislation, policies, and professional standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Experience working within Adult Social Care or community-based settings.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
