Job Description
Are you a compassionate and experienced Key Stage 2 Teacher with a passion for working with pupils with Special Educational Needs? A fantastic opportunity has become available at a dedicated special school in Birmingham for a Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team, teaching pupils with a range of complex needs in a nurturing and well-resourced environment.
This role requires a creative and adaptable teacher who understands the importance of building strong relationships with pupils and providing a highly differentiated and individualised curriculum. The successful candidate will be supported by a strong team of teaching assistants and a leadership team that values collaboration, wellbeing, and professional development. Experience in a special school or working with pupils with autism, MLD, or complex needs is essential.
Job Role:
- Teaching a small Key Stage 2 class with varied learning needs
- Creating and delivering an engaging, personalised curriculum
- Working closely with the SEND team, parents, and external professionals
- Supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of each pupil
- Managing and directing a team of dedicated Teaching Assistants
- A welcoming and inclusive school environment with a strong team ethos
