SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Special School – Wolverhampton
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? A vibrant and nurturing primary special school in Wolverhampton is looking for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working with primary-aged pupils who have a range of special educational needs including Autism, MLD, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs. You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, manage their emotions, and develop social and communication skills in a safe and supportive environment. This role requires patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning and behaviour.

Job Role:
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis in the classroom
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Helping children with personal care where needed and promoting independence
  • Creating a calm and supportive environment tailored to individual needs
  • Monitoring progress and supporting the development of social, emotional and academic skills
