Behaviour Mentor – Key Stage 4 – Alternative Provision – Birmingham
Are you a resilient and compassionate Behaviour Mentor with experience supporting young people who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges? A dynamic alternative provision in Birmingham is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support Key Stage 4 students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students to help them develop positive coping strategies, build trust, and re-engage with learning. Many of the students present challenging behaviour, so a calm, consistent, and empathetic approach is essential. You will play a vital role in helping young people regulate their emotions, access education, and build the confidence and skills needed for success beyond the classroom.
Job Role:

• Supporting Key Stage 4 students on a 1-1 or small group basis
• Building strong, positive relationships and acting as a role model
• Helping students regulate behaviour and manage emotional responses
• Working alongside teaching staff to implement tailored strategies
• Supporting social, emotional, and behavioural development both in and out of class
