Job Description
Are you a qualified Science Teacher with a passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning? A fantastic Alternative Provision in East Birmingham is looking for a Science Teacher to join their dedicated team. With excellent facilities, small class sizes, and a strong leadership team, this setting is ideal for a teacher who thrives in a supportive, student-focused environment.
You will be teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students in small groups, delivering engaging and practical Science lessons tailored to individual learning needs. Many of the students have experienced challenges in mainstream education and benefit from a calm, structured approach. The ability to build positive relationships, manage behaviour effectively, and inspire a love for learning is essential.
Job Role:
- Teaching Science to small groups of KS3 & KS4 students.
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
- Creating a calm, purposeful classroom environment.
- Supporting students with SEMH needs to achieve academic progress.
- Working collaboratively with a dedicated team of staff.
- A supportive school with strong leadership and a clear vision.
- Excellent classroom resources and well-equipped labs.
- Small teaching groups with a focus on tailored learning.
