Job Description
Are you a passionate PSHE Teacher who believes in the power of education to transform lives? This Alternative Provision in South Birmingham is seeking a dedicated PSHE Teacher to join their supportive and experienced team. You will be teaching small groups of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who need a nurturing, structured environment to thrive academically and personally.
As a PSHE Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that help students build confidence, develop social and emotional skills, and prepare for life beyond the classroom. The school has a strong leadership team, excellent resources, and a collaborative approach that ensures staff feel supported. You’ll work with students who have SEMH needs or have faced barriers to learning, so strong behaviour management and empathy are essential.
Job Role:
- Planning and delivering creative, impactful PSHE lessons to small groups of students.
- Supporting students’ emotional and personal development in and out of lessons.
- Working with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Encouraging self-reflection, responsibility, and resilience in all learners.
- Maintaining high expectations for student engagement and progress.
- Collaborating with pastoral and SEND teams to meet the needs of individual students.
- Working in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
