SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary – 1-2-1 Support
Are you a caring and confident SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where every day makes a difference?
This welcoming primary special school in Birmingham is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1-2-1 support for pupils with complex learning needs and physical disabilities. Working closely with teachers and therapists, you will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence and achieve personal goals. This is a wonderful opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a caring and supportive team, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of pupils with additional learning needs.
 
Job Role:
  • Providing 1-2-1 support for pupils with complex learning needs and physical disabilities
  • Assisting with personalised learning programmes and classroom activities
  • Supporting communication, engagement and emotional needs
  • Helping pupils access the curriculum through differentiated resources and tailored support
  • Assisting with mobility, physical care and personal support where required
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Encouraging independence, resilience and confidence
You Will Need:
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
  • A caring, patient and adaptable approach
  • Willingness to support personal and physical care needs
  • Strong communication skills and a calm presence
  • The ability to build trusting relationships and maintain boundaries
