Job Description
PDT Horizons is currently recruiting a Senior Skills Employment Advisor to join our dedicated teamin Gloucester, paying £28.5k per annum. In this role, you will provide strategic oversight and support to learners and Skills Employment Advisors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and successful employment outcomes. You will act as a senior point of contact, building strong relationships with employers, coaching colleagues, and ensuring compliance with contractual and operational standards.
This is a role for someone with strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving ability, and a passion for empowering others. You will have the opportunity to influence learner pathways, support employer engagement strategies, and contribute to the overall success of the organisations we work with.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of Skills Employment Advisors, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing employers to support learner placement opportunities.
- Oversee matching of learners to suitable employers and work experience placements.
- Review and ensure accuracy of learner profiling to assess skills, experience, and employment readiness.
- Ensure full compliance with all contractual data collection, reporting, and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, sharing best practice and identifying opportunities for service enhancement.
- Support sales development and employer engagement strategies, attending key meetings alongside the team as required.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience in employability, recruitment, or related services.
- Leadership or supervisory experience, including coaching or mentoring colleagues.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience delivering services in a target-driven environment to contractual and quality standards.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities.
- IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes.
- Knowledge of the employability or recruitment sector at a strategic level.
- Experience providing advice, guidance, or mentoring to learners or jobseekers.
- Full driving licence.

Additional Information
- Location: Office-based role – Gloucester GL3 1JZ
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexibility may be required).
