Job Description
Ready to train as a Maths Teacher while earning a salary? This is a direct route into teaching, offering full support, funding, and guaranteed progression in an ‘Outstanding’ Birmingham school.
*** Maths Academic Coach
*** Salaried Teacher Training Opportunity
*** Starting Salary £21,645, Qualified Salary £31,650
*** ‘Outstanding’ secondary school, Central Birmingham
*** Career progression: Academic Coach → Unqualified Teacher → ECT → QTS
The Role
You’ll start as a Maths Academic Coach, supporting KS3 and KS4 students with tailored interventions and catch-up support. You’ll work closely with the Maths department, assist in lesson planning, lead small groups and eventually take on your own classes as part of the training pathway.
It’s a clear step-by-step route to QTS, all delivered in one school. No lectures or tuition fees – just hands-on training with expert mentoring.
The Candidate
You’ll need a Maths-related degree (or strong A-Level Maths), plus a genuine desire to teach. You’re confident, organised, and ready to grow quickly in a classroom-based role. Prior school experience helps but isn’t essential – we’re looking for potential.
The School
This high-performing secondary school in Central Birmingham has a national reputation for teacher development and student progress. Behaviour is excellent, leadership is strong, and staff are supported at every stage of their career.
Get trained, get paid, and get your career in teaching started now.
