A supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a Maths Teacher for a full-time, long-term supply role starting in September 2025. Whether you're an experienced practitioner or an ECT looking for your first teaching post, this role offers a rewarding opportunity in a well-resourced department.
Key Details:
- Position: Maths Teacher (QTS or ECT welcome)
- Location: Birmingham
- Start Date: September 2025
- Rate: £175–£250 per day (dependent on experience)
- Contract: Full-time, long-term supply
- Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, with a focus on supporting student progress and achievement. You’ll plan and deliver lessons that challenge students of all abilities and prepare them thoroughly for GCSE assessments. There will be scope to contribute to curriculum development and participate in department-led intervention programmes.
The Candidate:
You should hold QTS and can teach Maths across Key Stage 3 and 4. ECTs are encouraged to apply and will be supported by experienced mentors. You’ll need strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and the ability to inspire students with a calm, confident approach. A commitment to raising attainment and enthusiasm for data-driven teaching are key qualities for success in this role.
