A ‘Good’-rated secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Design Technology Teacher, specialising in Resistant Materials, to join their team from September 2025. This full-time, long-term role offers the opportunity to inspire creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills in students across KS3 and KS4.

The Role
You’ll be delivering engaging and practical lessons that develop students’ skills in design, engineering, and evaluation of resistant materials projects. The role will involve planning, marking, and assessment, as well as ensuring health and safety standards are consistently met in the workshop. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to extracurricular activities, competitions, and STEM initiatives.
The Candidate
We’re looking for a qualified Design Technology Teacher with a specialism in Resistant Materials. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an ECT, you should have strong practical skills, excellent classroom management, and the ability to inspire students to think creatively and work with precision. A commitment to raising achievement and fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment is essential.
