The Role
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher, specialising in Chemistry, to join a Good-rated secondary school in Birmingham from January 2026. This is a full-time, long-term role delivering high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, with a focus on developing students’ understanding of Chemistry through engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons.
You’ll take on full teaching responsibilities — planning and delivering lessons, assessing progress, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level exams, and contributing to the wider Science department.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a committed and innovative Science specialist who can inspire curiosity and a love of learning. You should be:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent) – ECTs welcome to apply
- Experienced in teaching Chemistry up to A-Level
- Confident in delivering a broad Science curriculum across KS3–KS5
- Skilled at creating engaging lessons that promote independent thinking and practical investigation
- Dedicated to maintaining high academic standards and fostering a positive learning environment
