Job Description

We’re currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join their dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administration skills and a keen eye for detail who enjoys working in a fast-paced transport environment. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of daily transport operations while maintaining compliance and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brief and debrief drivers using systems such as TMS, Verilocation, Tachomaster, Odyssey, and FleetCheck, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and signed.
  • Resolve delivery and collection issues promptly, providing support to drivers throughout their routes.
  • Deliver excellent customer service across all communication channels.
  • Ensure compliance with DVSA and Health & Safety regulations, managing inspections, MOTs, servicing, and incident reporting.
  • Support daily transport operations, including TMS maintenance, booking deliveries, managing temperature deviations, cross-dock activity, on-road cover, and team engagement.

  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of driver hours regulations and Health & Safety standards to ensure operational compliance.
  • Strong customer service focus, with a genuine commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs.
  • Proficient in administration and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual, with a strong sense of accountability and work ethic.
  • Confident operating an FLT (licence desirable – training available).
  • Flexible and adaptable to change and new challenges.
